Biden Sells Border Wall Parts for $5 Each, Texas Aims to Buy and Donate to Trump
Dec 13, 2024, 01:17 AM
The Biden administration is reportedly auctioning off unused materials from the southern border wall, a move criticized by some Republican lawmakers as an attempt to hinder President-elect Donald Trump's plans to secure the US-Mexico border. The materials, left unused after Biden's decision to halt wall construction in 2021, are being sold for as little as $5 per segment. Footage shows trucks removing sections of the steel wall near Tucson, Arizona, with an estimated half-mile of parts being moved daily. The materials are being transported to Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona, for auction through GovPlanet. Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has announced that Texas is prepared to purchase these segments and donate them back to Trump for border wall construction.
