xAI's Grok Now Free for X Users, Generates Controversial Images with Aurora AI
Dec 13, 2024, 01:00 AM
Elon Musk's company, xAI, has launched Grok, an AI tool integrated into the social network X, offering advanced natural language processing and image generation capabilities. Grok, which is now available for free to all X users, allows them to generate up to 10 images every two hours and analyze three images per day. The tool features an AI image generator named Aurora, which can create photorealistic images from text prompts, including depictions of public figures, with little to no censorship. Users have begun experimenting with Grok, creating images of various scenarios involving celebrities and political figures, often in provocative or controversial contexts. This lack of content moderation has led to concerns about the potential for misuse, with images circulating on X that could be considered racist, sexist, or inciting violence.
