Erdoğan Vows to Eliminate YPG, PKK, DEAŞ in Syria Peacefully or by Force
Jan 17, 2025, 05:07 PM
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has declared that Türkiye's objective is to eliminate all terrorist organizations in Syria, including the YPG, PKK, and DEAŞ, either peacefully or by force. Speaking at the AK Party's 8th Provincial Congress in Kayseri, Erdoğan emphasized that the presence of armed separatist terrorists in Syria poses a security threat to Türkiye. He stated that the terrorist groups must either disarm voluntarily or be forced to do so, underlining that Türkiye's goal is to ensure a terror-free region. Erdoğan also mentioned that significant progress has been made in recent weeks towards ending terrorism, which has plagued the nation for over 40 years. He stressed that the People's Alliance is focused solely on opening the doors to a terror-free Türkiye, with no other hidden agendas.
