Ghana's Supreme Court has upheld the country's anti-LGBTQ legislation, dismissing two legal challenges against the Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill. The bill, passed by parliament in February, imposes prison sentences of six months to three years for individuals engaging in LGBTQ sex, and up to five years for those promoting or supporting such activities. The court's decision clears the way for the bill to be sent to President Nana Akufo-Addo for ratification, who has yet to make a decision on the matter.
