Judges Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini Assassinated Outside Tehran Supreme Court

At around 10:45 am on Saturday, two senior judges of Iran's Supreme Court, Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini, were shot and killed outside the Supreme Court building near Park-e Shahr in central Tehran. A third judge, identified as Judge Miri, and a bodyguard were injured in the attack. According to state media, the assailant, reportedly an office assistant at the Supreme Court armed with a handgun, committed suicide after the shooting. Authorities have described the incident as a terrorist attack and are investigating the motive behind it. Moghiseh and Razini were known for handling high-profile cases involving national security, espionage, and terrorism, and had issued death penalties against opponents of the government.
