Yemen's Houthis Target US Destroyers and Supply Ships in Gulf of Aden, No US Confirmation
Dec 10, 2024, 05:33 PM
The Yemeni Armed Forces, backed by the Houthi group, have announced targeting two US destroyers and three accompanying supply ships in the Gulf of Aden. The operation was carried out using missiles and drones, with the Houthis claiming the attacks were successful. This marks the second such targeting within ten days, following previous attacks on US military vessels and supply ships in the region. Additionally, the Houthis claimed attacks on the Jaffa and Ashkelon regions in occupied Palestine with drones. There has been no confirmation of these attacks from the US so far, and prior Houthi attacks have reportedly failed. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saraee made the announcement.
