Former U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, 84, underwent successful hip replacement surgery at a U.S. military hospital in Germany after sustaining an injury during a congressional delegation (CODEL) trip to Luxembourg. Pelosi fell down stairs during the visit, which included events commemorating the Battle of the Bulge. She was initially treated at Hospital Kirchberg in Luxembourg before being medevaced to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center at Landstuhl Army Base in Germany, where she underwent surgery on Saturday morning. According to her spokesperson, Ian Krager, Pelosi is "well on the mend" following the procedure.
