DeSean Jackson, Former Eagles Pro Bowler, to Lead Delaware State as Head Coach
Dec 26, 2024, 09:55 PM
Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and three-time Pro Bowl selection DeSean Jackson is finalizing an agreement to become the next head coach at Delaware State University. After interviewing on campus in recent days, Jackson and the university are expected to reach an agreement in the near future. Jackson, who spent the 2024 season as an assistant coach at Long Beach Wilson High School, has expressed a long-held aspiration to coach at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). His hiring would mark another significant addition to the coaching ranks in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), which recently saw former NFL quarterback Michael Vick become the head coach at Norfolk State University. Delaware State competes as the Hornets in the MEAC. Jackson brings his professional experience to the Delaware State football program.
