BYD's Record November Sales of 507,000 Units Put 2024 Goal in Reach, Set to Outsell Ford and Honda
Dec 9, 2024, 12:00 PM
BYD, China's leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is on track to exceed its 2024 sales target of 4 million vehicles, having sold 3.76 million EVs by November and achieving a record monthly sales of 507,000 units in November alone. This strong performance positions BYD to outsell global competitors such as Ford and Honda in total global sales. In November, China's passenger car sales grew by 16.6% year-on-year to 2.42 million units, the fastest increase since January, driven by government subsidies and trade-in policies. New energy vehicle (NEV) sales in China surged 50.5% year-on-year to a record 1.27 million units, highlighting the robust growth of the NEV market in which BYD is a dominant player.
