FBI Investigates Mysterious Drones Over New Jersey Amid Calls for State of Emergency
Dec 12, 2024, 12:28 AM
Dozens of mysterious drones have been spotted flying over New Jersey since mid-November, sparking an FBI investigation. Local and state officials, including New Jersey State Representative Bergen, have expressed frustration over the lack of information regarding the origin, ownership, and purpose of these drones. Despite a Homeland Security briefing, authorities remain clueless about who is operating the drones, their source, or their intentions. The Pentagon's Northern Command has stated that these drones are not affiliated with the US military, foreign military, or foreign entities, including Iran, and there is no credible threat. However, the drones have been observed near sensitive locations, including military research facilities, and have been reported to be as large as SUVs or even buses. Their ability to go dark when observed has added to the mystery, leading to calls for a state of emergency and the formation of a skywatch taskforce to monitor the situation. Some drones were seen near the Verazzano Bridge, further intensifying concerns.
