The 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame voting results are set to be announced, with Ichiro Suzuki poised to become the first Japanese player inducted into the Hall. Suzuki, who amassed 3,089 hits in Major League Baseball and 1,278 in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, is expected to be a unanimous selection, joining Mariano Rivera as the only players to receive 100% of the votes. In addition to his hitting prowess, Suzuki won 10 Gold Gloves and set a record with 262 hits in 2004. CC Sabathia, a six-time All-Star and 2007 AL Cy Young Award winner, is also a strong candidate for induction, having finished his career with 251 wins, 3,093 strikeouts, and a World Series title in 2009. Billy Wagner, in his final year on the ballot, is close to the required 75% threshold, having received 73.8% in the previous year's voting. Wagner's career included 422 saves, an impressive 2.31 ERA, and a strikeout rate of 11.9 per nine innings. Carlos Beltrán, who received 57.1% of the vote last year, could also be elected, with a career that included 2,725 hits, 435 home runs, 312 stolen bases, and nine All-Star appearances.
