US Accelerates $988M Military Aid Including Missiles and Drones to Ukraine Before Trump's Inauguration
Dec 7, 2024, 08:58 PM
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has pledged a significant military aid package to Ukraine by mid-January 2025, during the final 45 days of the Biden administration. The package, nearly half of the remaining $2.21 billion in the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative funds, totals $988 million and includes hundreds of thousands of artillery shells, thousands of missiles, hundreds of armored vehicles, missiles, and drones. This effort is part of an accelerated push to deliver aid to Kyiv before President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025. Sullivan stated, "We need to make sure Ukraine has that support. We're gonna continue to surge."
