Missing Hawaii woman, 30-year-old photographer Hannah Kobayashi, who vanished after landing in Los Angeles last month, has been found safe, her family announced. Kobayashi, a Maui resident, disappeared after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport in early November. Her family reported her missing to law enforcement on November 11 after receiving "strange and cryptic, just alarming" text messages. Surveillance footage later showed her crossing into Mexico on foot on November 12th. The Los Angeles Police Department classified her as a "voluntary missing person." Her disappearance prompted a massive search and captured national headlines. Her family expressed they are "incredibly relieved and grateful" upon making contact with her. Tragically, during the search, her father took his own life after traveling to Los Angeles to help find her.
