Jan 13, 2025, 07:01 PM
Grammy Award-winning country music star Carrie Underwood, an Oklahoma native, is set to perform at President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025. Underwood will sing 'America the Beautiful' during the swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, where she will be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. In a statement, Underwood said, 'I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.' Underwood's participation marks one of the most high-profile additions to the inaugural lineup, as President-elect Trump prepares to assume office for his second term.
