A 22-year-old female student of Korean nationality, enrolled in the Sociology department at Hosei University, was arrested after allegedly attacking eight students with a hammer at the university's Tama Campus in Machida, Tokyo. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on January 10, 2025, during a class session attended by approximately 100 students. The victims, aged between 19 and 22, included five men and three women, all of whom sustained injuries but remained conscious.
