Sam Darnold led the Minnesota Vikings to a decisive 42-21 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, throwing a career-high five touchdown passes and amassing 321 yards. This marks the first time a Vikings quarterback has thrown five touchdowns in a game since Daunte Culpepper in 2004. Wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison each recorded over 100 receiving yards and multiple touchdowns, becoming the first duo in franchise history to achieve this in a single game. Running back Aaron Jones added a 15-yard touchdown run to extend the lead. Byron Murphy Jr. contributed defensively with a remarkable one-handed interception off Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins. With this win, the Vikings improved to an 11-2 record, extending their winning streak to six games.
