U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his desire to resume nuclear disarmament talks with Russia and China, aiming for a reduction in nuclear arsenals. Trump mentioned that Russian President Vladimir Putin had previously shown support for the idea of cutting back on nuclear weapons. In response, the Kremlin, through spokesman Dmitry Peskov, indicated that Russia is ready to restart nuclear arms reduction talks with the United States as soon as possible. Peskov emphasized that such negotiations should consider the nuclear capabilities of all countries, including allies of the U.S. like France and the United Kingdom. Trump's comments were made during his virtual address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he also highlighted the potential for denuclearization.
