IDF Intercepts Houthi Drone Over Southern Israel, No Casualties

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported intercepting a drone over southern Israel, launched from the east by the Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen, with no casualties or damage. The drone followed a similar path to a previous Houthi drone attack on a home in Yavne. Sirens sounded in several locations including Netivot, the Gaza envelope, and Ashkelon, prompting warnings of a possible drone incursion. The IDF later suggested that some of these alerts might have been false alarms, based on the projected path of the suspected drone. In the last month, Yemen has launched five ballistic missiles and two drones towards Israel, according to IDF radio.
