President Donald Trump criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for refusing to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, stating that Putin is 'destroying Russia' by not making a deal. Trump claimed that nearly a million Russian soldiers and about 700,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the conflict. He added that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to make a deal, but he is unsure if Putin does. Trump indicated he would likely impose additional sanctions on Russia if Putin does not come to the negotiating table and said his administration is reviewing continued military aid to Ukraine.
