Trump Ends Biden-Era CBP One App, Cancels Migrant Appointments Immediately
Jan 20, 2025, 06:11 PM
The Trump administration has terminated the CBP One app, a controversial border program from the Biden era that facilitated legal entry into the United States for nearly one million migrants via online appointments. Effective immediately, the app has been shut down, canceling all existing appointments, including those of migrants in Ciudad Juárez who were notified their scheduled entries are no longer valid. The CBP One app, which allowed approximately 1,600 migrants per day—or about 43,000 per month—to schedule appointments at ports of entry or enter through commercial flights, has been disabled. U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed the closure, using the term 'undocumented alien' in its notice. The program's termination affects thousands of migrants who were awaiting entry into the U.S.
