Dr. Phil Joins ICE in Chicago Raids Targeting 270 High-Value Illegal Immigrants
Jan 27, 2025, 12:51 AM
Dr. Phil McGraw, the television personality, has joined Tom Homan, former acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to observe and document ICE operations targeting illegal immigrants in Chicago. The operation aims to arrest 270 high-value targets, including convicted criminals and sex offenders, as part of efforts to close the border, get criminals off the streets, and rescue missing children. During the operation on January 26, ICE agents arrested a 42-year-old Thai national who had been previously ordered removed from the United States in 2009 but remained in the country. Dr. Phil and Homan addressed concerns about the operation, denying claims that ICE agents were entering schools or arresting children. The collaboration, live-streamed via the MeritTV app, seeks to provide transparency about the deportation process and highlight the individuals being apprehended. ICE reported that on January 26, 956 illegal immigrants were arrested nationwide, including 554 criminal aliens.
