FBI Finds No Link Between New Orleans Terror Attack and Las Vegas Cybertruck Explosion
Jan 2, 2025, 05:01 PM
The FBI announced on Thursday that it has found no definitive link between the deadly New Year's Day attack in New Orleans and the explosion of a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on the same day. The New Orleans incident, which the FBI classified as a lone act of terrorism, left more than a dozen people dead and over 30 injured. Officials provided details about videos the attacker had posted on his Facebook account prior to the attack and confirmed he acted alone. Despite the similarities in timing, FBI counterterrorism officials stated that there is currently no evidence connecting the two events.
