ICC Confirms Hybrid Model for 2025 Champions Trophy; India-Pakistan Matches at Neutral Venues

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 will be played in Pakistan and at a neutral venue under a hybrid model arrangement. This decision resolves the impasse over India's participation, as India will play its matches at neutral venues rather than in Pakistan. The ICC Board confirmed on Thursday, 19 December, that during the 2024-2027 rights cycle, all matches between India and Pakistan at ICC events hosted by either country will be held at neutral venues proposed by the tournament host. This arrangement applies to the 2025 Men's Champions Trophy in Pakistan, the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup in India, and the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
