Biden Rushes to Auction Off Unused Border Wall Materials Before Trump's Inauguration
Dec 12, 2024, 06:40 PM
The Biden administration is reportedly accelerating efforts to auction off unused border wall materials, with the goal of moving all materials off the border before Christmas. This move comes just weeks before President-elect Donald Trump is set to take office, who has promised to resume construction of the border wall. Videos obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire from a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent show trucks hauling wall materials from hotspots for illegal crossings near Tucson, Arizona, to a government auction site in Marana, Arizona. The materials, including steel bollard wall sections, are being auctioned off by GovPlanet for as little as $5 per section. Critics, including Rep. Eli Crane whose district borders the Pinal Airpark where the materials are being sold, argue that this is an attempt to hinder Trump's border security plans by selling off materials that could be used for wall construction.
