NDSU Wins 10th FCS Title, Defeats Montana State 35-32 in Frisco Under Coach Tim Polasek
Jan 7, 2025, 02:30 AM
North Dakota State University (NDSU) defeated previously undefeated Montana State University (MSU) 35-32 to win the FCS National Championship in Frisco, Texas. This victory marks NDSU's 10th FCS title in the last 14 seasons, solidifying their dominance in FCS football. NDSU's quarterback Cam Miller delivered an outstanding performance, completing 10 of 11 passes in the first half and accounting for three total touchdowns and over 200 total yards. Despite Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott's efforts, including a 44-yard touchdown run and a late touchdown pass, the Bobcats' perfect season was spoiled as their comeback ultimately fell short. The game ended with NDSU punting the ball to run out the final seconds. Head coach Tim Polasek secured his first national title in his inaugural season with the Bison, who are now 10-1 in FCS championship games.
