Aces Get Jewell Loyd, Plum to Sparks, Storm Receive No.2 Pick, Li Yueru in WNBA Trade

In a major three-team WNBA trade, the Seattle Storm have traded six-time All-Star and 2023 scoring champion Jewell Loyd, also known as "The Gold Mamba", to the Las Vegas Aces. In return, the Storm receive the No. 2 pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft and center Li Yueru. The Las Vegas Aces send three-time All-Star guard Kelsey Plum, the 2022 All-Star Game MVP and 2021 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year, to the Los Angeles Sparks, along with the No. 9 pick in the 2025 draft. The Aces also receive the No. 13 pick from the Sparks. Plum, who was the first overall pick in 2017 and helped the Aces win consecutive championships in 2022 and 2023, will join former teammate Dearica Hamby in Los Angeles. The trade reshapes the rosters of all three teams, with the Aces forming a new "Big Three" featuring Jewell Loyd and A'ja Wilson, while the Storm position themselves for the future with a top draft pick.
