Pete Carroll Named New Head Coach of Las Vegas Raiders, Aiming for Immediate Success with Tom Brady's Guidance After 4-13 Record
Jan 27, 2025, 07:46 PM
The Las Vegas Raiders have officially appointed Pete Carroll as their new head coach, hoping he will replicate his previous success with the Seattle Seahawks, where he led the team to two Super Bowl appearances. Carroll, 73, emphasized the importance of winning immediately and plans to lean on minority owner Tom Brady for insights on the quarterback position. The Raiders are also introducing John Spytek as their new general manager. An introductory press conference is scheduled for Monday at 11 a.m. PT, where both Carroll and Spytek will address the media. During the event, notable attendees included Raiders star Maxx Crosby and former Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch, who vocally supported Carroll. Carroll expressed a desire to build a competitive team quickly, stating, 'We’re starting right now… building this team as quickly as we can.'
