This brings the total military aid provided to Ukraine under Biden to over $66 billion. The announcement comes in the final weeks of his administration, ahead of President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20. The military aid, provided through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), includes artillery shells, air defense systems such as HAWK and NASAMS missiles, Stinger MANPADS, ammunition for HIMARS, and other critical equipment. The Pentagon is transferring weapons from its own stockpiles to expedite delivery.
