Germany Sends Ukraine 15 Leopard 1 A5 Tanks, Gepard Systems, Patriot Launchers, and IRIS-T Systems in Major Aid Package

Germany has announced a comprehensive military aid package to Ukraine, which includes 15 Leopard 1 A5 tanks, two Gepard anti-aircraft systems, 30 MRAP vehicles with mine protection, one PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer, 12 armored vehicles with kinetic defense systems, and seven Caracal assault jeeps. The package also features advanced air defense systems, including one IRIS-T SLM and one IRIS-T SLS system, along with missiles for these systems, two Patriot launchers, and two TRML-4D radars. Additionally, the aid comprises various drones, such as 30 Vector drones, 24 RQ-35 Heidrun drones, and 14 Hornet XR drones, as well as 65,000 rounds for Gepard, 52,000 155mm shells, AIM-9L/I Sidewinder missiles, and 4,000 HX-2 drones. This package marks Germany's continued support for Ukraine amid ongoing hostilities, with Germany being the second-largest provider of military aid to Ukraine after the United States.
