Yemen's Houthis Release Crew of Seized Israeli Ship After Hamas Request

Yemen's Houthi rebels have released the crew of the Israeli-owned car carrier 'Galaxy Leader,' which they had seized in the Red Sea over a year ago on November 19, 2023. The 25 crew members were handed over to Oman following mediation efforts and a request from Hamas. The release was directed by Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi and supports the 'Battle to Support Gaza' and the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
