Federal Agents Seize Drugs, Weapons in Colorado Raid; 50 Arrested in Crackdown on Venezuelan TdA Gang
Jan 26, 2025, 06:38 PM
Federal agents, including the DEA and ICE, conducted a pre-dawn raid on Sunday morning in Adams County near Aurora, Colorado, targeting members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang. Approximately 50 illegal immigrants were arrested at a makeshift nightclub known to be a TdA hangout. Officials seized drugs, weapons, and cash during the operation, including a handgun tied to an unsolved 2024 murder. It is unclear if this operation is part of President Trump's promised 'Operation Aurora' targeting this gang. The raid is part of a broader crackdown on the violent Venezuelan gang, which has been linked to criminal activities across multiple U.S. cities. Some of the arrested gang members had been previously released in 2023 under the Biden administration.
