FAA Investigates Near-Miss Caught on Video Between Gonzaga Team Plane and Delta Flight at LAX
Dec 30, 2024, 07:20 PM
On Friday afternoon, a near-miss occurred at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) between a chartered Embraer E135 jet carrying the Gonzaga University men's basketball team and a Delta Air Lines flight departing for Atlanta from runway 24L. The incident was captured live during the transmission of Airline Videos. The Gonzaga team's plane had just landed and was taxiing when it was instructed to stop by air traffic control to avoid crossing the runway where the Delta plane was taking off. The air traffic controller can be heard urgently shouting "Stop! Stop! Stop!" to the chartered jet to prevent a collision. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the incident.
