A Brightline passenger train collided with a Delray Beach Fire Rescue truck in crowded downtown Delray Beach, Florida, on Saturday morning, injuring a total of 15 people, including three firefighters and 12 passengers. According to authorities, the fire truck was responding to an emergency call when the collision occurred near East Atlantic Avenue and SE 1st Avenue, causing the truck to overturn. Witnesses reported that the fire truck had waited for a freight train to pass and then went around the barrier before being struck by the Brightline train. At least three people are in critical condition. The injured were transported to local hospitals, with two firefighters in stable condition at trauma centers.
