BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has reached a record high of approximately $11.6 trillion in assets under management (AUM), marking a 15% increase over the past year with $641 billion in new investments. The company saw record net inflows in 2024, driven by two consecutive quarters of record flows in the second half of the year. BlackRock's iShares, a subsidiary, has also seen substantial growth, with AUM increasing to over $4.2 billion from $534.7 million in 2012. Additionally, BlackRock has made a notable investment in cryptocurrency, acquiring 3,570 Bitcoin. The Bitcoin ETF, identified as $IBIT, ranks as the 11th largest fund with $58.9 billion in assets, reflecting strong demand for Bitcoin among BlackRock's clients.
