Israeli Airstrikes Kill 33, Including Children, in Gaza Camp After UN Ceasefire Vote
Dec 13, 2024, 06:46 AM
Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza have killed at least 33 Palestinians, including children, and wounded dozens more. The strikes hit a postal facility where civilians were sheltering and nearby residential buildings, causing significant civilian casualties. Journalist Shadi Salfiti was among those killed, while others, including journalist Abdul Rahman Al-Qassas, remain missing under the rubble. Among the dead were Fadi al-Bayoumi and his son Ali. The death toll in Gaza on December 12 reached at least 66. The attacks occurred just hours after the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly voted for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
