Israeli Strike Near Gaza Hospital Kills Five Al-Quds Today Journalists in Press Vehicle
Dec 26, 2024, 09:30 AM
An Israeli airstrike early on Thursday, December 26, killed five Palestinian journalists in Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, according to local health authorities and media reports. The journalists, who worked for Al-Quds Today television channel, were killed when their clearly marked press vehicle, bearing the word 'PRESS', was struck near Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza. The victims were identified as Ayman Al-Jadi, Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan, Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali, and Mohammed Al-Ladah. Reports indicate that the journalists were sleeping inside the vehicle at the time of the attack. One of the journalists, Ayman Al-Jadi, was waiting outside the hospital for his wife, who was in labor with their first child. Gaza's Government Media Office stated that this brings the total number of journalists killed since October 7 to 201. The Israeli military said it targeted a vehicle carrying Islamic Jihad militants.
