The lawsuit claims that Lively and Reynolds orchestrated a smear campaign against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment, which he denies. Baldoni alleges that Lively attempted to take control of the film, making unauthorized changes to the script and demanding a producer credit. The legal action follows Lively's earlier lawsuit against Baldoni, where she accused him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory smear campaign against her. Baldoni's lawsuit also references the Los Angeles wildfires, claiming that Lively served her lawsuit during a time when the defendants were evacuating their homes. Prior to this, Baldoni had filed a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times for its coverage of Lively's allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation.
