Dec 26, 2024, 04:05 PM
Israel launched airstrikes targeting Houthi military infrastructure in Yemen, including Sana'a International Airport, where the control tower was destroyed, power stations, and ports along the western coast. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strikes, stating they were approved by the Chief of General Staff, the Minister of Defense, and the Prime Minister, and were in response to the Houthi group's repeated ballistic missile and drone attacks against Israel since October 7th. The targeted facilities included the Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib power stations and military infrastructure at the ports of Hodeidah, Al-Salif, and Ras Kanatib. The attacks occurred during a speech by Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi movement.
