Kansas Detective Golubski Misses Civil Rights Trial, Dies by Suicide

Former Kansas police detective Roger Golubski, accused of sexually assaulting Black women and girls in poor neighborhoods over several decades, did not appear for his federal trial on Monday. Authorities issued an arrest warrant following his absence. Golubski, a white detective, was accused of abusing his position to prey on vulnerable individuals and terrorizing those who resisted. The charges against him included civil rights violations. Later reports confirmed that Golubski died by suicide on the day his trial was set to begin.
