Trump Pardons 21 Pro-Life Activists, Including Bevelyn Beatty Williams, Imprisoned by Biden Administration
Jan 22, 2025, 09:11 PM
President Donald Trump has issued pardons to 21 pro-life activists who were prosecuted and imprisoned by the Biden administration for their protests against abortion. Among those pardoned is Bevelyn Beatty Williams, who had been serving a three-year sentence for her actions outside an abortion facility in New York. The pardons come in response to pressure from leading pro-life groups and follow Trump's earlier pardons of over 1,500 individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol riot. The Thomas More Society, which represented many of the defendants, had formally requested these pardons, highlighting the misuse of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act by the Biden Justice Department against pro-life advocates.
