IDF Completes Operation at Kamal Adwan Hospital, Arrests 240 Hamas Terrorists Including Director Hossam Abu Safiyeh
Dec 28, 2024, 04:58 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have completed a counterterrorism operation at the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, resulting in the arrest of over 240 individuals suspected of being affiliated with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Among those detained was the hospital's director, Hossam Abu Safiyeh, who is suspected of being involved with Hamas. The operation targeted what the IDF described as a Hamas command center located within the hospital, where some of the apprehended individuals had reportedly attempted to disguise themselves as patients or escape using ambulances. The operation also involved the seizure of weapons and the evacuation of patients. Notably, 15 of the detainees were identified as having participated in the attacks on October 7th.
