The Supreme Court judge, Ángel Hurtado, has issued a request to WhatsApp and Google for data related to the user accounts of Spain's Attorney General, Álvaro García Ortiz. This action follows a petition from the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, as part of an investigation into García Ortiz for alleged disclosure of secrets. The judge aims to recover messages and communications from García Ortiz's mobile devices, which were reportedly deleted, focusing on the period between March 8 and March 14, 2024. The request includes details such as sender, recipient, date, and time of communications, as well as backups of chats and multimedia files associated with the user. This move comes after the UCO found no messages on García Ortiz's devices during a previous search, prompting the need for further investigation into the communications during the specified dates.
