The alleged assault occurred in 2000 after the MTV Music Awards at an after-party hosted by Combs. Judge Torres denied Jay-Z's motion to dismiss the case and criticized his lawyer for 'relentless' legal filings and inflammatory language against the plaintiff's attorney. The woman may be required to reveal her identity at a later stage of the litigation.
