Ex-SafeSport Investigator, 47, and Officer Arrested for Rape, Sex Trafficking
Jan 13, 2025, 02:30 AM
Jason Krasley, 47, a former Allentown police officer and ex-investigator at the Denver-based U.S. Center for SafeSport, has been arrested and charged with multiple serious crimes, including felony rape, sex trafficking, involuntary sexual servitude, kidnapping, and intimidation of a witness. Krasley, who was previously dismissed from his role at SafeSport for allegedly stealing $5,500 from a drug bust, is accused of committing these crimes during his tenure as a police officer between 2011 and 2015. SafeSport CEO Ju'Riese Colon expressed outrage over the allegations and announced a third-party audit of cases Krasley handled during his time at the organization, which employs a robust vetting process for hiring investigators. Krasley also faces allegations in a whistleblower lawsuit filed by two Allentown officers, claiming misconduct within the police department. Another Allentown officer, Kevin Weaver, has also been arrested on similar charges and placed on administrative leave. Krasley's attorney has denied the allegations.
