Dec 15, 2024, 08:06 PM
Al Jazeera has announced that one of its journalists, Ahmed al-Louh, aged 39, was killed in an Israeli strike on the Nusseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. The strike, which targeted the central part of the besieged territory, resulted in the death of three Civil Defense rescuers as well. Al Jazeera condemned the attack, describing it as a 'targeted murder' by the 'occupying forces.' The Israeli military has stated it is investigating the incident. Ahmed al-Louh is the fifth Al Jazeera journalist to have been killed since the onset of the war in Gaza on October 7, 2023, where the Israeli army is engaged in conflict with the Palestinian movement Hamas.
