Hamas to Free 3 Israelis, 5 Thais; Israel to Release 110 Palestinian Prisoners Thursday
Jan 29, 2025, 04:21 PM
Hamas is set to release several hostages on Thursday as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood prisoner exchange deal under the ongoing ceasefire agreement. Among those to be released are three Israeli captives: Arbel Yehud, Agam Berger, and Gadi Moshe Moses, as well as five Thai nationals abducted by Hamas on October 7th. No Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the Thai nationals. The Israeli government has received and accepted the list of hostages to be freed. In exchange, Israel plans to release 110 Palestinian prisoners, including 32 serving life sentences, 48 with long sentences, and 30 minors. Hamas's military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, through spokesperson Abu Obeida, provided the names of the Israeli hostages to be released. The exchange marks the continuation of efforts to free hostages amid the fragile ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
