Jan 6, 2025, 08:29 AM
Three Israelis were killed and eight others were injured in a terrorist attack near the Palestinian village of Al-Funduq in the West Bank on Monday morning. The attack, carried out by Palestinian gunmen, targeted a bus and several vehicles near the settlement of Kedumim. The victims were identified as Rachel Cohen, 73, Aliza Reiz, 70, and Elad Yaakov Winkelstein, a 35-year-old police investigator. A 63-year-old bus driver was among the injured, listed in serious condition, while two women were in moderate condition and five others sustained minor injuries. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that the attackers were from the Jenin area and were affiliated with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Following the attack, the IDF launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, setting up roadblocks and encircling several towns in the area, with the assistance of a helicopter. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, promising to bring the perpetrators to justice.
