Daughter of Convicted Rapist Dominique Pelicot Calls for Father to Die in Prison
Jan 11, 2025, 12:20 PM
Caroline Darian, the daughter of convicted French rapist Dominique Pelicot, has called for her father to die in prison, labeling him a 'dangerous man' and expressing fear over his potential release. In an exclusive interview with the BBC, Darian revealed that Pelicot, 72, drugged and raped her mother, Gisèle, for over a decade, enabling approximately 50 men to sexually assault her while she was unconscious in what has become known as the Mazan rapes. Darian also believes that her father may have drugged and abused her as well, stating, 'I am convinced that he raped me. Yes,' and adding that he is 'always lying.' She declared, 'I'll never call him dad again,' and shared that she has 'lost her normal life' due to his actions. Pelicot was convicted on December 19 and is currently serving a prison sentence. Darian has authored a book about the case, excerpts of which were published by DER SPIEGEL.
