IDF Launches 4 Airstrikes on Hezbollah Targets in Southern and Eastern Lebanon, Hits Smuggling Routes
Jan 12, 2025, 09:22 PM
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a series of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in southern and eastern Lebanon. The strikes, which included four separate attacks, hit multiple locations, including a rocket launcher site, a military site, and smuggling routes along the Syria-Lebanon border used for transferring weapons to Hezbollah. The IDF stated that prior to the attacks, the threats posed by these targets to Israeli civilians and military personnel were presented to the ceasefire monitoring mechanism between Israel and Lebanon, but the threats were not addressed. The strikes occurred in areas such as Deir El Zahrani, Houmine El Faouqa in the Nabatiya region, north of the Litani River, and the Bekaa Valley, approximately 5 kilometers from the Syrian border.
