Vincent Bolloré's Vivendi Restructures: Canal+ and Havas Listed on London and Amsterdam, €500 Million Tax Savings Expected
Dec 16, 2024, 06:28 AM
Vincent Bolloré's media group, Vivendi, has successfully completed its restructuring with the listing of its subsidiaries Canal+ and Havas on international stock exchanges. The introduction of Canal+ on the London Stock Exchange and Havas on Euronext Amsterdam is part of a broader strategy to optimize the group's financial structure. This move is expected to yield significant tax savings, estimated at over €500 million. Additionally, Bolloré will not incur taxes on two-thirds of his shares in Canal+ and Hachette. The restructuring is aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of Canal+ and addressing the challenges posed by the split of Vivendi into four distinct entities, including Hachette and Havas.
